Drinks and Drinking Games

If you are planning on drinking during your Bachelor party, you may want to look at our list below that was created by veteran bachelor party guys. Of course there are the general shots (Tequila) and drinks (beer) that everyone knows, but we are here to give you some new suggestions!

Before the drink recipes and bachelor party shot ideas are given below, there are a few tips to take into consideration. A bachelor party is almost synonymous with drinking and having a memorable time but it is also important to take the following words of wisdom:

  • Do not get the bachelor too drunk since you want her to remember his fun time!

  • If the bachelor does not drink, don't force him since it is his time to shine and have some great fun with his buddies!

  • Make sure to have a sober driver if you are driving around. You want to have fun and have everyone safe as well.

  • If drinking a strong alcohol, make sure to choose a reputable and quality brand so there are less chances of headaches and feeling sick (unless drinking too much since we cannot help you at that point!)

Wine And Dine

In recent years Wine has become an incredibly popular drink for bachelor parties. Here are some helpful hints while you are planning a bachelor party that discuss wine and what foods to serve with each type.

Today there are many varieties of wines grown all over the world. It is a personal preference which type or producer of wine you select! Don’t let anyone convince you that more expensive wines are better. One can find great bargains everyday for under $10.

With all the choices you have to pick today, it really comes down to three types of wine: Red, White and Sparkling. Each wine is great but some wines go better with different kinds of foods. We will give you advice on what most people consider to be the "Rule" with wines and food. Just remember everybody’s tastes are different, so what tastes great to one person, might not be as good to another. It is best if you can experiment a little and find the wines you think are best.

It is most often considered appropriate to serve Red Wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlots, etc…) go with meats and game, other wines to consider with meats are Syrah/Shiraz and Pinot Noirs.

White wines usually are best with lighter foods including fish, foul, and vegetables dishes. These wines include Chardonnay, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, and other white wines. Each of these wines has different characteristics, and each one can be complimentary to the food you are having or just drinking on its own.

Some examples:

Spicy foods – Shiraz or Red Zinfandel (fruity and bold)
Red Meat – Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlots (full body wine)
Pork and Game – Pinot Noir (lighter red)
Shellfish – Riesling or Champagnes (Methode Champenoise) – (Light, dry wine)
Ocean and Fresh water fish – Chardonnay’s and Semillons (heavier White)

When in doubt, you can always go to an upper scale wine and spirits store and ask for a suggested wine for a type of food, or there is always the multitude of locations to look up on the Internet. For information on bachelor party wine and food pairings, click here.

Make it a great party with great wine; just make sure to Drink Responsibly!
